John Dodd from the Bombo Kids Foundation

Some of our Kenya books were given to John Dodd for distribution. John is a retired Aussie from South Australia who is currently living in rural Taveta in Kenya.

John has a registered a charity called Bombo Kids Foundation in South Australia and is in the process of registering "INUA TOTO" (Lifting Up the Children) in Kenya.

John writes:

“Primarily we are looking at ways to assist Rescue Children’s Homes and schools In rural Taveta (gateway to Mt Kilimanjaro). We are in the process of developing a library, community center, work experience, and a training center. A lot in one go.

We have school and community backing , as well as the new Governor's support. Land and a small building has been offered in a prime location in the heart of town. We intend to build a modern facility to make this a focal point and constantly used and thriving center.

In addition, we wish to establish a mobile library to service the small towns and villages and schools towards Voi, 100 km away as well as the coastal region where we have a presence. We are also assisting a school of 500 children in the slum area of Mukuru Kwa Njenga of Nairobi.”
