Mfesane Drop In Centre in Nelson Mandela Bay

The Union of Jewish Women in Port Elizabeth arranged for ABCA books to be delivered to the Mfesane Drop In Centre in Nelson Mandela Bay (Eastern Cape) through the UFIWE organisation.

Mfesane Drop In Centre is a safe space for children to stay after school where they are fed a nutritious meal each day. The children are given help with their homework and with reading and writing. The centre has a library and runs book clubs to encourage the children to read from a young age, and to broaden their vocabulary and develop their language skills.

The centre also run programs in computer literacy, life skills, personal hygiene, and child protection awareness.
