Union of Jewish Women working with Uviwe Child & Youth Services
In October 2022 Uviwe Child & Youth Services received ABCA books from the Union of Jewish Women in Port Elizabeth, which they distributed to schools and communities in Schauderville and Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth.
Uviwe focus on vulnerable children and youth, and run programmes for early childhood development, afterschool care, awareness and literacy, and they also provide food, safety and educational support. They enable students to reach their full potential, and equip teens with life skills so that they can become economically active citizens. Uviwe believe that we need to listen and hear the untold or silent stories of many ‘at risk’ children and youth in the communities.
Thank you to the Union of Jewish Women for distributing ABCA books, and to Uviwe for reaching the schools who are in desperate need of these books!
